Hydrogen fuel cells, a clean and efficient energy conversion device, are very promising for use in vehicles, transport, mobile and handheld devices, or as a new energy source used for many different purposes or devices. The future development prospects and widespread adoption of hydrogen fuel cells are strong and will have a significant environmental, economic and social impact.

Project goals:

  • Research on synthesizing polymer electrode membranes with competitive prices and effective use for hydrogen fuel cells using cross-linking and coupling techniques using nuclear radiation.
  • Contribute to human resource training and create quality scientific publications on hydrogen fuel cells.

Impact of the project:

The project’s research results are expected to provide manufacturers of hydrogen fuel, hydrogen fuel cells, and hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles with a clearer understanding of the strategy or approach of how hydrogen fuel cells can operate efficiently, sustainably, and at a competitive price.
