Master of Data Science Sponsorship and cooperative training Program

The Sponsorship and cooperative training Program for Master of Data Science between VinIF and Vietnamese research institutes, universities, aims to support financial and technological resources, knowledge and experts’ network for institutions and graduate students.

• In accordance with the training plan, development plan, the mission, functions and tasks of the training center and associate with the implementation of the training strategies of the training center and Vingroup;
• The sector is included in the Gorverment’s list of Education and Training; not in the list of sectors with redundant human resources’ risks or a policy of suspension from Ministry-level agencies;
• In case the sector is not in the Government’s list of Education and Training, the training institutes rely on the World’s list of Education and Training, and practical experience from other countries whose program has been accredited to develop schemes, later on propose sectors’ codes for the Government’s list of Education and Training;
• The sponsorship helps with the expenditures, in order to create sufficient conditions for international quality of facilities, textbooks and lecturers.

• VinIF supports up to VND 2,000,000,000 (Two billion VND) for the first year and gradually decreases for the following years for training institutes, in order to: Enhance the quality of lecturers; Invite visiting professors; Develop and supply textbooks and lectures; Upgrade facilities and equipment to meet the training requirements of Master’s program; Enhance the capacity and experience of scientific research in the field of the sector where the institutes develop Master’s program; Manage the program and other reasonable expenditures.
• The maximum support period is 03 years. Every year, VinIF will organize inspection and evaluation to serve as a basis for sponsoring in the following years or to extend the sponsoring period.
• VinIF considers and supports Master’s program that meet the criteria and conditions for selection of the domestic Master’s and Doctoral scholarship program: (https://vinif.org/en/sponsor-programs/postgraduate-scholarships/).

• Vingroup and socio-economic needs.
• Training program (Structure, Content, Objective, Quantity, Output Standard …).
• Lecturers of institute.
• Scientific research’s activities of institutes.
• Domestic and international cooperation.
• Facilities (classrooms, libraries, textbooks, external practice facilities, …) of institutes.

The institute that registers for the Master of Data Science Sponsorship and cooperative training Program need to simultaneously send the soft copy via email scholarship@vinif.org and the hard copy to VinIF by post. Application includes:

• Application form (Form VINIF-JM-DDK);
• Proposal (Form VINIF-KM-TMDA);
• Other relevant documents (if any).

• Program announcement: January 2021;
• Deadline for applications: From February 01 to May 05 2021;
• Selection: April 2021;
• Result announcement: May 2021;
• Sign contract: In 2021 according to the actual progress of the institutes.
• Disbursement of sponsorship: According to the annual progress of the program.
