VinIF aims towards supporting scientists and young talents from universities and institutes to create world-class scientific, technological and innovative researches in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, Medicine, Economics and Education, in order to bring about positive and sustainable changes for Vietnam.
Over 2 years of development and operation, VinIF has cooperated with more than 90 domestic research institutes and universities; Sponsored and managed around 70 projects; Given more than 450 scholarships; Organized and sponsored approximately 30 scientific and technological conferences, events with total funding up to more than VND 500 billion.
Specially, in 2021, VinIF will open 02 new programs: Postdoc Scholarship; Preserving cultural and historical values.
Specifically, in 2021, VinIF will open these programs:
#VINIF01 – Scientific and technological research projects support
Support practically scientific and technological research projects from domestic research institutes, universities (organizer) and Vietnamese scientists (project manager) to have modern approach and technology, excellent results and international stature. Financial support for each project is from VND 2 billion to 10 billion.
In particular, VinIF will sponsor 02 type of projects in 2021: Scientific research project and Application-oriented scientific and technological research project.
Deadline: 02/03/2021 – 05/05/2021.
#VINIF03 – Organizing and sponsoring for scientific and technological conference
Organize, co-organize reputable domestic and international events and conferences with research institutes and universities.
Deadline: At least 30 days before the event.
#VINIF05 – Intensive training and visiting professor
Cooperate with reputable scientific unit to organize training course (2 weeks – 2 months) and mass lecture. Speakers are domestic and international leading experts.
Deadline: At least 60 days before the event
#VINIF06 – Master’s and Doctoral (PhD) Scholarship
Sponsor domestic Master’s program (VND 120 million/year), Doctoral program (VND 150 million/year) (6 months or 12 months).
Deadline: 01/06/2021 – 01/08/2021.
#VINIF07– Domestic Postdoc Scholarship
Sponsor for PhDs from reputable foreign universities or newly domestic defended to work full-time for Vietnamese research institutes or universities. Sponsorship is VND 300 – 400 million/ year.
Deadline: 01/04/2021 – 15/06/2021.
#VINIF08 – Collaborative Master’s program of Data Science
Continue sponsoring collaborative master’s program of Data Science with training institutes. Maximum funding is VND 2 billion/ year, maximum period is 3 years.
Deadline: 01/02/2021 – 31/03/2021.
#VINIF09 – Preserving cultural and historical values
Support organizations, individuals to create cultural events and projects related to the preservation of cultural and historical values.
Deadline for organizing events: At least 30 days before the event
Deadline for project’s proposal: To be announced
