Project goals
Successful in establishing a phage bank: isolation and assessment of bacterial and phage activity; Set up records, processes, introduce and advertise phage banking.
Successful in -omics analysis: genome, immune response, fish intestinal microbiota, effects of phages on the diversity of water and pond mud bacteria.
Successful in researching and evaluating the effectiveness of phage preparations against hemorrhagic and purulent liver and kidney diseases in striped catfish seeds at pond scale.

Project impact
The project contributes to expanding research on bacteriophages in Vietnam. The first phage bank will be established, contributing to research and technology transfer in Vietnam. The project is also a good opportunity to strengthen cooperation with research groups in Vietnam and abroad.
Enhance technology transfer and strengthen the value chain of the striped catfish industry in Vietnam.
The project contributes to adjusting policies on sustainable development and environmental protection in general and in aquaculture in particular in Vietnam.
