The system is developed based on NDE technology and advanced deep learning software which will help robots automatically search and accurately locate damaged and defective areas of reinforced concrete structures and iron/steel structures. The developed iron bridge climbing robot will allow the investigation of iron bridges with high structures and access to areas that are difficult for humans to access. The car-mounted system for obtaining NDE data allows for quick bridge deck data collection without affecting traffic. Deep learning software allows the processing of NDE data and image data to quickly and accurately locate damage and cracks in the bridge structure.
Our NDE robots will be the world’s first products with the goal of providing automation solutions for the investigation of bridges, roads and building structures.
- Our proposed technology will increase the safety of bridge inspectors because they do not have to work in open traffic environments.
- Significantly reduce bridge inspection time by 96% and save up to $1,000 (in Vietnam) and $5,000 (in the US) in traffic control fees when inspecting an average bridge length of 100m.
- Eliminate manual inspection from bridges and instead apply NDE sensor technology to provide more accurate results on the condition of the bridge or building structures.
