Host Organization
The AC House Activated Carbon Science Service Joint Stock Company

Project goals

  1. Develop and perfect the process of making activated carbon from Dicranopteris linearis using steam activation technology (activation capacity 5kg/batch).
  2. Producing high quality activated carbon from Dicranopteris linearis for application in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics field. The technological process is patented by the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam (or the application is accepted).
  3. Apply activated carbon to prepare some quality cosmetic products such as toothpaste; cleanser; shower gel; activated charcoal soap and lip balm). The products have full quality inspection certificates from competent authorities.
  4. Publish scientific publications in prestigious international journals related to the research field.

Main content of the project

  1. Research the physical and chemical characteristics of Dicranopteris linearis to demonstrate the potential of this material in the production of activated carbon, evaluate the distribution of raw material areas and develop a plan for planning raw material areas to serve production.
  2. Research to perfect the process of making activated carbon from Dicranopteris linearis using steam activation technology from laboratory scale to semi-industrial scale (5kg/batch).
  3. Research on the application of activated carbon from Dicranopteris linearis in the field of pharmaceutical and cosmetics. Formula construction and test production of cosmetic products from activated carbon on a laboratory scale.
  4. Activated carbon products and cosmetic pharmaceutical products are tested and evaluated for quality by competent authorities.
  5. Production cooperation with Thai Huong Pharmaceutical Group to produce products on an industrial scale.
  6. Publish in international newspapers about the project’s related research results and submit a patent application to the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam.

Project impact

The goal of the project is to effectively apply scientific research results with high feasibility to deploy into practice, contributing to creating quality products, bringing socio-economic efficiency and improving quality of life. Building a complete technological process on a semi-industrial scale in the production of activated carbon from Dicranopteris linearis using steam activation technology for application in the field of pharmaceutical and cosmetics. At the same time, create high quality pharmaceutical and cosmetic products derived entirely from nature.
