The aim of the research project is to develop a system for measuring, displaying, analyzing and providing clinical results, using complete wearable electromyography (EMG) signals; and thereby process signals, analyze and display results on popular electronic devices for users such as laptops, smartphones, smart watches for various applications, from clinical research to user support devices.
To carry out the project, the research team applied theoretical and experimental approaches. The need for an electronic device to receive EMG signals was researched by the team by surveying domestic and foreign documents on the trend of developing medical devices to serve patients who need to measure EMG signals. From that basis, the design specifications ensure features such as fabric integration, user-friendliness, being reusable many times, and measurement results information can be managed on smart devices such as cell phones.
Expected results of the project:
- Developing research and application of sensor technology
- Perfecting wireless board technology and
- Product development through prototypes that are tested and used by users
The project will create 10 prototypes for testing and publish 1-2 international articles during the research and development process. To achieve that result, the research team must perfect the technology of integrating Graphene textile into EMG sensors on a wireless connection platform for medical applications, with the specific goal of developing electrical sensor technology with wireless connectivity and integrated into smart fabrics in a variety of shapes, from gloves to compression garments, etc.
