Postgraduate Scholarships Program

Financial aid for outstanding graduate students and postgraduates who will or are currently enrolled in domestic postgraduate programs in fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Medicine, Economics or Education.

• Sponsorship is awarded 02 (two) times, the first time 70% immediately after signing the sponsorship contract, the second time 30% upon liquidation of the sponsorship contract and is classified into the following categories:

  • Master’s scholarship – type VND 120,000,000: is a scholarship granted to graduate students who are still studying for more than 6 months from the date of receiving the scholarship;
  • Master’s scholarship – type VND 60,000,000: is a scholarship granted to graduate students who are still studying from 3 months to 6 months from the date of receiving the scholarship;
  • Doctoral Scholarship – type VND 150,000,000: is a scholarship granted to postgraduates who is still studying or doing research for more than 6 months from the date of receiving the scholarship;
  • Doctoral Scholarship – type VND 75,000,000: is a scholarship granted to postgraduates who are still studying from 3 months to 6 months from the date of receiving the scholarship.
• International published support scholarships: These are scholarships for graduate students, research students who have received scholarships to support learning and scientists to register, attend, and report research results at the conference. international scientific conference. The support level includes the cost of registration, travel, accommodation and a number of other reasonable expenses.

• Final year students, lecturers of universities, research staff at research institutes who will pursue a Master or Doctoral (PhD) program.
• Graduate students and Postgraduates who are enrolled in a full-time postgraduate program at a domestic university or institute.

• For Master’s scholarships, students need to have excellent university graduated result OR good university graduated result and win prizes, scientific and technological research achievements in 02 (two) years.
• For PhD scholarships, PhD students need to have an overall GPA of the Master course of 7.5 (10-scale) above OR an overall GPA of the master course from 7.0 (10-scale) above and win awards, scientific and technological research achievements in 02 (two) years prior to application.
• Graduate students and postgraduates who have received scholarships from VinIF of VNCDLL are allowed to sign up for the scholarship program next year. The maximum number of times to receive scholarship is two (02) years for graduate students and three (03) years for PhD students. Academic scholarships for the following year are considered based on academic performance and research from previous years.

• Graduate students and postgraduates who receive scholarships are responsible for attending the scholarship awarding ceremony at the location announced by VinIF of VNCDLL.
• Graduate students and postgraduates must spend full-time participating in studying and researching at a training institution within the framework of the registered program.
• Graduate students and postgraduates who have studied and researched more than 6 months from the date of receiving the scholarship: are responsible for submitting a 6-month report and final reports at the end of their study and research period by sending their reports to VinIF of VNCDLL about the situation, study and research results. Scholarship recipients who have studied and researched less than 6 months from the date of receiving the scholarship: are responsible for sending a written report at the end of their study and research period to VinIF of VNCDLL about the situation, study and research results.
• Upon completing research presentation at international scientific conferences and seminars, graduate students and postgraduates need to submit proof of attendance to VinIF of VNCDLL.
• The research conducted during the time of receiving the scholarship should state clearly: “[Name of graduate student] was funded by Vingroup Joint Stock Company and supported by the Domestic Master/ PhD Scholarship Programme of Vingroup Innovation Foundation (VINIF), Institute of Big Data (VNCDLL), code [Code of graduate student]”.

Individuals who sign up for the domestic Master’s and Doctoral scholarship program must simultaneously submit application via online link http://oms.vinif.org (and throught email address scholarship@vinif.org) and VinIF of VNCDLL the following necessary documents:

• Application form to receive (Form 1.VINIF-TNT-DDK);
• Scientific background (Form 2.VINIF-HB-LLKH);
• Certificated copy, college transcripts (for Master’s scholarships) or notarized copies of academic transcripts, undergraduate and postgraduate transcripts (for Doctoral scholarships);
• Notarized copies of certificate of awards, scientific and technological research achievements (if any);
• Explanation of objectives, contents, methods, study plans, research and expected results (Form 3.a.VINIF-HB-ThS-KHHT or sample 3.b.VINIF-HB-TS-TMDC);
• One (01) letter of recommendation for Master’s scholarship or two (02) letter of recommendation for Doctoral scholarships (Form 4.a.VINIF-HB-TGT) from reputed scientists with a Scientific Curriculum (Form 4.b.VINIF-HB-LLKHBT);
• Confirmation of the admission of domestic postgraduate or doctoral student (no later than December 10 of the year of application for scholarship).
• Confirmation the remaining time of the course (Form VINIF-HB-XNTG)
• if the remaining time of the course (from October 2020) is less than 12 months and the written confirmation of admission does not show the remaining months of the course.

Graduate students and postgraduate students who have received scholarships from VinIF of VNCDLL, register for the next year Master’s and Doctoral scholarships to submit simultaneously via online link http://oms.vinif.org (and email address  scholarship@vinif.org) and VinIF office of VNCDLL the above documents together with the report of study’s results.

For study support scholarships:

• Application deadline: Doctoral scholarships: May 2 to May 31, 2024                                         Master’s scholarships: June 1 to June 30, 2024
• Announcement of results: September, 2024.
